All this time I've been posting about Frame online, I never showed my face. Maybe it was shyness, maybe fear, maybe I just didn't know better. But hiding makes no sense when what I want is a direct and honest conversation with the people who like Frame.

My name is Álvaro. I'm a 30 year old software engineer from Spain, and I've been obsessed with electronics and computers for about as long as I can remember. At university I competed in robotics contests and became national champion four times. That opened the door to starting a business, and that's how I founded Eotec, an educational robotics company that teaches robotics to kids in rural schools across Spain.
That job took me to the other side of the country, to Valencia, almost 1,000 km from my parents, my brother and my friends. That's the main reason Frame exists. I needed to feel them close without having to pull out my phone. When I'm in the living room watching TV or reading and the Frame lights up with a new photo, it's something special. It's like a hug from far away. And that's why I want to share this idea with as many people as I can.
In the next emails I'll tell you more. For now I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know there's a person behind this product who wants to share his ideas. And nothing would make me happier than you sharing yours with me: what you think of the project, or any idea at all.
I'll be watching my inbox, so if you have any questions, just reply. I'll be here to answer.
Best,
Álvaro M.
