We are launching onKickstarterDecember 10

Send photos to your closest.

They pick a photo on their phone. Seconds later it glows on your shelf, in pixel art. No feed, no notifications. Just them.

Joining is free. Then you see the founder price and can reserve your unit if you want.

How Frame works

How a photo travels from your phone to the people you love.

STEP 1

Take a photo

Whatever is happening right now: the sunset, the coffee, the dog. No filters, no posing.

STEP 2

Choose who gets it

In the Frame. app, tick the people you love. One person or all of them at once.

STEP 3

It travels as pixel art

On the way, your photo turns into 64 × 64 pixels of light.

STEP 4

And it lights up in their home

Seconds later it glows on every Frame. No pings, no notifications. Just you, on their shelf.

And this is what it really looks like

The Frame. app is free, for iPhone and Android. Download on the App Store →

Not another screen

Distance doesn't need more pixels to scroll

Calls and texts get lost in the same phone you use for everything else. Frame doesn't buzz, doesn't notify, doesn't pull you in. It just sits there, quietly glowing with someone who was thinking of you.

The project so far

This didn't start last week.

Frame has been built in the open since the beginning of 2025, one board at a time.

  1. January 2025

    The first board

An LED panel, an ESP32 and a photo that took almost a minute to appear.

  2. November 2025

    The app

Sending a photo stops being a script on a laptop and becomes an app you can hand to your mother.

  3. Spring 2026

    It updates itself

Frames start receiving new firmware over the air, without anyone opening anything.

  4. May 2026

    Reddit finds it

806 upvotes and 217,000 views. Hundreds of people asking the same thing: where can I buy one?

  5. Summer 2026

    Second hardware revision

New board, animations at 15 frames per second, and a case that fits a 64x64 panel exactly.

  6. Now

    50 units in assembly

We are assembling 50 units for the beta testers, built and tested one by one here in Spain.

  7. December 2026

    Kickstarter

The campaign opens. Whoever is on this list gets in 24 hours early, at the founder price.

  8. March 2027

    First Frames ship

The Kickstarter Frames start leaving for their new homes, anywhere in the world.

Why Frame exists

It started as a gift for someone 600 km away

Frame began as a present for my partner, who lives 600 km away. I shared it on Reddit and people kept asking where to buy one. Now I'm building it for real, here in Spain.

FAQ

Questions before you join

Does the other person need a Frame too?

No. Your friends and family can send photos to your Frame with just the free app. The experience is better when you both have one, though: that way photos travel both ways.

How much will it cost?

You see the founder price right after joining the list, along with the option to reserve one of the first units. It is the lowest price Frame will ever have, and there is no subscription.

Is there a subscription?

No. You pay for the Frame once and the app is free. No monthly fees.

Does it work with Android?

Yes. The app works on iPhone and Android.

Do you ship to my country?

Yes, we ship worldwide.

When will I get my Frame?

The Kickstarter opens in December 2026 and we expect to ship the Frames in March 2027.

Be there on day one

The Kickstarter opens in December. The founder price goes to the people on this list, and we send it by email before the campaign is public.
